#4thWorldRadyo // The Political Economy of Colonial Dreaming: #DACA & the #Immigrant Struggle for Eurosettler Acceptance

History_In_Pictures_on_Twitter2017-09-22_11-18-27.png

Summary: In another Spoken Word dispatch, FWR host @TheAngryindian speaks on the little-addressed political flip-flop many DACA-recipients – certainly not all – have decided to employ when it comes to (specific) political support for the Trump Administration and MAGA, in general, despite its anti-Immigrant; pro-White Supremacist; far-rightist sociopolitical and anti-Spanish-speaking Indigenous American economic policies. Reflecting on personal anecdotes and more than three decades of political activism, the host asks (sincerely) if Indigenous and Afro-Americans are prepared to put their revolutionary fervour (again) behind politically assisting (another) oppressed demographic that – to some degree – might be willing to take side(s) with White Power in the United States – provided – that Latin immigrants are allowed to remain in the USA and prosper, collectively, as a group. Afro-Americans have always supported other ethnic minorities in North America while historically, American Africans have NOT received substantial sociopolitical reciprocal support for liberation initiatives moves that DO NOT directly benefit other oppressed peoples in the country. Considering all of this, which way is the conscious Afro-American to go?

EXTRAS: Commentary from a radical (truth-speaking) African Sister; ‘Bash The Fash’ by anti-fascist heroes Oi Polloi and an archived NOI address by Bro. Jeremiah Muhammad recalling an attempt by the Black Muslim organisation’s desire to develop a working understanding with the Ku Klux Klan finish off the programme.

All this and much more on, 4WR.

A #Genocide in the Making: The #Rohingya People and (Far-Right) Buddhist Nationalism in Burma/Myanmar // @TheAngryindian Speaks with Geor Hintzen (@geor97)

Rohingya_at_DuckDuckGo_2017-09-06_11-15-39.png

Summary: The Rohingya Nation is a stateless, culturally Muslim/Hindu, population of nearly one million people primarily situated within Rakhine State, Burma/Myanmar with another million of their citizens dispersed across mainly South and Southeast Asia. As a socio-politically marginalised Indo-Aryan ethic minority within Burma/Myanmar, (Indo-Aryans) the Rohingyas are restricted from enjoying citizenship rights – by law – in harsh contrast to the historical record which documents the presence of Rohingya occupation in the Arakan region since (at least) the 8th century. United Nations observers, along with other human rights NGO’s report that the military government of Burma/Myanmar – aside from severely limiting the rights of these people through persistent racialist persecution – are actually operating a programme of ethnic cleansing, gearing-up for a mass, forced-exodus of the Rohingya under the threat of death. The government of supported in these xenophobic measures by the majority Buddhist population and numerous, far-right clerics citing ‘racial purity’ goals as a rationale for advocating Rohingya genocide.

20106649_10213665826030537_5842017-09-04_13-06-52To discuss this appalling crisis, FWR host @TheAngryindian speaks with Professor Geor Hintzen, Coordinator of Knowledge Management and Safety at The Hague University, The Netherlands and one of the leaders of the ‘Protect The Rohingya’ effort taking place in the European Union dedicated to drawing an international focus on the drastic human rights catastrophe that is developing in Burma/Myanmar. A recognised expert on Sino-European politics and relations; ME languages/cultural studies as well as EU immigration, migrant and asylum law in the EU, he is the author of ‘Protest your loyalty: An analysis of the right of assembly, procession, and demonstration in the People’s Republic of China’ (1994) and ‘Protect The Rohingya’ (Editor) with Shabnam Mayet and Andrew Day.
